Born in 1192 AH, as Abu Turab, he wrote under the pen name Ashna. He was the son of Hazrat Pir Mujeebullah Qadri's son and the grandson of Pir-e-Mujeebullah Qadri, Shah Mantullah Qadri. His birthplace was Phulwari Sharif. He was educated in the external sciences by Maulana Ahmadi, a great elder of his family, and the inner sciences were completed by Shah Nematullah Qadri. Ashna Phulwarvi was a poet of both Urdu and Persian. The Sufi bent of his poems is manifest. He also became a disciple in 1216 AH. He has also written a few treatises in the field of jurisprudence which are in the form of manuscripts which adorn the library of Mujibia Monastery, Phulwari Sharif. He died in 1270 AH and was buried in his family graveyard.
