His real name is Kamal Shah Warsi. He was the son-in-law of Haji Waris Ali Shah's follower Hafiz Piyari. Born in 1919 in Garhi Bahlol, Haidergarh District Barabanki, he joined the Warsi order through Haji Maqsood Ali Shah and pledged allegiance in 1957. He received his education from Zahiri Madrasa Bahlol, Haidergarh District Barabanki, and then turned to poetry. From the very beginning, he had cultivated a taste for poetry. He used to recite fine poems and passed away on February 16, 2013, in the Dargah Hafiz Piyari.
