This saint poetess is highly respected in Maharashtra. She was the sister of Gyan Dev. There is no definite information regarding her life. The Brahmins did not recognize the four siblings in the society due to being the children of saints. Muktabai remained unmarried and engaged in spiritual practice all her life. Her works are very few, but there are 42 Abhangs of hers in Gyandevi Gatha.
