Born Ghulam Mustafa Quli Khan, he wrote under the pen-name 'Yakrang’. Though the date of his birth and death is not available, there is a mention that earlier he used to take Islah from Shah Mubarak 'Abaru' but in old age he used to show his poems to Mirza Mazhar Jaan-e-Jana. He was an inhabitant of Delhi. Originally an Urdu poet, he has also composed in Hindi.
