Nizami Ganjvi was born in the city of Ganja, Azerbaijan, between 520 AH and 1125 AH. His name was Elias, his surname was Abu Muhammad, and his pen name was Nizami. Nizami Ganjvi's fame is due to his Masnavi, of which Makhzan-ul-Asrar, Khosrow Shirin and Laila Majnoo are very important. He was well versed in the popular sciences of his time. Maybe that is why he was given the title of Hakim. He was also fluent in astrology, Persian, Arabic and other languages. Apart from these sciences, he was most interested in medicine. Probably due to this attachment, medical terms, medicines and names of diseases are found in his poems. A collection of his poems is available under the name of Panjganj-e-Nizami or Khamsa-e-Nizami. Nizami Ganjvi was of Iranian descent. He was a poet, writer, philosopher and much more.He had many skills. Firdausi, Sanai and Khaqani were very fond of him. Nizami died in Ganja, Azerbaijan in 1209, according to 606 AH, and was buried there.
