Born in Jangpur Jalalpur village, Palatu Sahib was present in the times of Nawab Shuja-ud-Daula of Awadh and Shah Alam of Hindustan. This village joins the western border of Azamgarh in the district of Faizabad. Paltu saheb stayed in Ayodhya, Faizabad for a long time, where he held his Satsang. It was here that he left his mortal coil. The pupils of Paltu sect are still present in every part of India.
