Born Ghulamanbi Rasleen, he was a soldier in Safdarjung's army and was an ace archer. He attained martyrdom in 1750 AD, in the battle of Ramchetaul. His Doha, ‘Amiya Halahal Mad Bhare', received unprecedented popularity and respect. All his works are equally enjoyable. His major compositions are - Anga Darpan, Ras Prabodh, Sphut Kavitta (Kavitta, Savaiya, Folklore) etc.
