Sattar Warsi was born in 1928 in Bareilly. After the establishment of Pakistan, he migrated to Karachi and settled there permanently. Ghaffar Shah Warsi, the father of Bastar Warsi, who had pledged allegiance to Haji Waris Ali Shah, was his spiritual mentor and gave him the Ihram. His Naa't poetry has been published under the name of “Mu'attar Mu'attar” and it has been published by Medina Publishing Company (M.A Jinnah Road Karachi).He passed away on March 8, 1985, in Karachi.
