Munshi Khuda Bakhsh Shaiq Daryabadi was a very devoted follower and worthy disciple of Haji Waris Ali Shah. He is counted among the famous Sufi poets of Devi. He was born in Daryabad but spent most of his time in a place called Pind Nam of Barabanki. He spent most of his life here and stayed there till the last days of his life. Shaikh Warsi's book was published in 1890 under the name of "Tuhfat-ul-Asfia" in Persian according to the wishes of Haji Waris Ali. Munshi Khuda Bakhsh Shaikh Daryabadi passed away at a place called Pind of Barabanki. There is also his shrine. Shaikh was also a commanding poet. His Diwan is the best memorial of his literary accomplishments, titled "Diwan-e-Shauq". In this book, he has expressed his feelings in the form of poems. It contains mystical lyric poems and hymns in the Persian language.
