Profile of Sheikh Bahauddin Bajan
Born Sheikh Bahauddin, he wrote under the pen name Bajan, his homeland was Gujarat. Numbered among the most celebrated of saints, he was born in 790 AH to Sheikh Maghribuddin. Bajan was a follower of the famous Gujarati Muhaddis Sheikh Ali Muttaqi Jaunpuri's Murshid Grami and Sheikh Abdullah Mutawakkil. He was keen on travel and tourism. Returning from a tour of Arabia and Iran, he swore allegiance to his son and successor, Sheikh Rahmatullah Mutawakkil. He died in the same place at the age of 22 on 21st Ziqa'da 912 AH. He used to recite poetry in both Persian and Hindi.
