Profile of Tulsi Sahib Hathras Wale
Born Shyam Rao, Tulsi Sahib, was the crown price and the elder son of the Maharaja of Pune. Despite his father's repeated insistence, he left the palace a day before taking up the throne. After wandering for many years as a Dervish, he finally settled in Hathras, Aligarh. Often, luggage with just a cane and a blanket, he would frequent other lands and started holding Satsangs. His followers still abound in many Indian states. His samadhi is present in Hathras where people come to pay their homage to this great saint and a huge fair is held on this occasion.
