Zaheen Shah Taji's real name is Muhammad Taseen. He was born in 1902 in Jhunjhunu, Sikar, a district of Shekhawati in Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, where Hazrat Qamruddin Abulolai's sacred grave is. He got his early education from his father at home. He was very fond of calligraphy and soon mastered it. His understanding of poetry was very strong. Initially, he used his Taseen as his pen-name. His father, seeing his God-given ability, said, "You are intelligent and your pen-name should also be intelligent, or Zaheen." After the demise of his father, he pledged allegiance to Maulana Abdul Kareem Jaipuri, alias Yusuf Shah Taji, who was a follower and caliph of Hazrat Syed Tajuddin Chishti Nagpuri. Soon, Zaheen took over the responsibility of the caliphate. He also had the permission of caliphate from Hazrat Qamaruddin in the Chishtia Sabria dynasty, Qadria dynasty and Naqshbandia Abulolaiya. His mento Baba Yusuf Shah Taji wanted to go to Pakistan and told the same to Zaheen Shah Taji. To fulfill his wish, he visited Pakistan in 1948. On the third day of his arrival in Karachi, Yusuf Shah Taji passed away and Zaheen Shah Taji took up residence in Pakistan. He translated Ibn Arabi's book "Fusul Al-Hekam" and "Fatuhat Makkiyah" into Urdu. Besides, he also translated Mansoor Hallaj’s book ‘Kitab-al-Tawasin’. His other works include Aayat-e-Jamal, Lamhaat-e-Jamal, Jamal-e-Ayat, Jamalistan, Ajmal Jamal, Lamaat-e-Jamal etc.
