جز بادۂ شوق دوست عشرت نہ بود
جز بادۂ شوق دوست عشرت نہ بود
بے درد کسے نشۂ وحدت نہ بود
مے خانۂ عالم کہ پر از درد سر است
خالی ز خمار و رنج و محنت نہ بود
جُز بادۂ شوق کوئی عشرت ہی نہیں
بے دُرد کشی نشۂ وحدت ہی نہیں
مے خانۂ عالم ہے سراپا غم و رنج
راحت ہی نہیں اس میں مسرّت ہی نہیں
