Nizamuddin Auliya to Amir Khusrau: I am weary of everyone, even myself, but never of you

From that day, Amir Khurd writes in Siyar-ul-Auliya, Khusrau’s words found the sweetness he was looking for and like the Sun, his fame captured east and west. Khusrau had also captured Nizamuddin’s heart.
“Repeat my prayer, for your permanence is dependent on my permanence. They should bury you next to me,” Nizamuddin would often tell Khusrau.

The family found an inn, which only allowed women to stay. Bibi Zulaikha and Nizamuddin’s sister, Zainab, moved there. The sultan’s army minister, Imad-ul-Mulk, gave Nizamuddin refuge in one of his homes close by.

Nizamuddin Auliya: A life spent in bringing happiness to the human heart

Nizamuddin was that perfected spirit. He could feel others’ pain. And in Amir Khusrau, Nizamuddin found that perfected spirit. Khusrau too felt the pain of others.
Nizamuddin was the shield of his people against the treacherous times, against life’s beatings of the soul. And no one other than Amir Khusrau realised that when the master would be reunited with his Love, the pain would be so intense that the lacerations would appear on his soul. Khusrau would not survive.
