Profile of Ejaz Hussain Javed
Born Mirza Ijaz Hussain in 1912 in his ancestral house, Choghra, near Kashmiri Kothi, Patna City, he wrote under the pen-name Javed. He graduated from Patna College and initially got a permanent job in the school in a few years. From 1928 onwards, he started composing poetry. He first recited his poem for the purpose of the Madrasa Abbasiyya, whose principal was Maulana Muhammad Mustafa Sahib alias Jauhar and was his student in poetry. Javed Sahib's poem recited on this occasion was published in 1940 in the collective collection of poems titled, "Aqd-e-Parveen". At only 54 years old, he died in 1968.
