Profile of Jayadeva
He was one of the five gems of the assembly of King Lakshman Sen, whose reign begins from 1170 CE. It is said that Jayadev was a first time Ramta Sadhu and did not dwell more than a day under any tree due to fear of Maya. He has three compositions - (1) Geet Govind, (2) Ramana Madhav and (3) Chandralok. Geet Govind is the most famous among these.
