Profile of Rahi Warsi
Born Ali Waris Khan he wrote under the pen name Rahi. He joined the Warsi order through Aughat Shah Warsi. He is numbered among the nouveau riche of Jagdishpur district Bhojpur Ara. Born in 1919 in a family of landlords from Jagdishpur, his father's name was Waris Ali Khan who was a disciple of Haji Waris Ali Shah. He had two rooms built in Dargah Waris-e-Pak, Dewa. One in his name and the other in the name of his mother in which the pilgrims stay even today. He was also a Life Member of the All India Dargah Warsi Association. He was also its president for a while. Later, he earned the Congress ticket and became an MLA, and then for some time, he was also made the director of the Mughal Line of India. Rahi Warsi used to take Islaah from Afqar Mohani and passed away on October 14, 1984.
