Profile of Shah Shuja
Shah Shuja was the son of Shah Jaha'n, the king of the Mughal Empire, and the son of a crown prince. Shah Shuja was born on June 23, 1616, in Ajmer and died on February 7, 1661. Shah Shuja's mother's name is Arjumand Bano Begum. He was the eldest of his siblings. Shah Shuja was appointed Governor of Bengal, Orissa, and Bihar in 1641. The battle for succession between Shah Shuja and Aurangzeb went well until Shah Shuja lost the battle in 1659. Shah Shuja also stayed in Dhaka for some time.
