बिस्मिल ख़ैराबादी का नाम मुहम्मद हुसैन था। उनके छोटे भाई का नाम मुज़्तर ख़ैराबादी है जिन्हें बिस्मिल से शागिर्दी भी हासिल थी। बिस्मिल मौलाना फ़ज़्ल-ए-हक़ ख़ैराबादी के निवासे और मौलाना अ’ब्दुल-हक़ ख़ैराबादी के भाँजा थे।
