Manzar Kakvi was born in Shahtoli, Danapur on 17th Ramazan 1324 AH. His real name was Abdur Rahman and his historical name is Manzar Iqbal but he was known by his alias Masoodu Rahman. From the beginning he was less talkative and poor. He never wished for anything. He lived a life of simplicity. He stayed far away from fame and fortune. He had pledged allegiance and caliphate to his grandfather Shah Nazeer Hassan Abulolai Danapuri. Manzar Kakvi was in the company of Hazrat Shah Mohsin Danapuri from the beginning, so he soon became associated with poetry and speech. He was able to recite good poems. He also used to take part in poetry festivals. He is one of the prominent disciples of Hazrat Shah Mohsin Danapuri. He passed away in Kako at Isha on 1942 AH, 2 Shawwal 1361 AH.
