آپ سے لوگوں نے کہا کہ فلاں شخص پانی پر چلتا ہے، آپ نے فرمایا کہ ہاں! گھاس کا تنکا بھی پانی پر چلتا ہے، یہ کوئی کمال کی بات نہیں ہے پھر کہا گیا کہ فلاں آدمی ہوا میں اڑتا ہے، فرمایا ٹھیک ہے چیل اور مکھی بھی ہوا میں اڑتے ہیں پھر کہا گیا کہ فلاں آدمی ایک لحظہ میں ایک شہر سے دوسرے شہر چلا جاتا ہے، فرمایا اس میں کیا رکھا ہے شیطان تو ایک دم میں مشرق سے مغرب تک چلا جاتا ہے، ان باتوں کی کوئی قیمت نہیں ہے۔

اے مسافر! میدان میں پوری طرح تیار ہو کر داخل ہو، اپنے لیے کچھ نہ سمجھ، سب کچھ فقیروں کے ساتھ چھوڑ دے، وقت جو بھی لائے، دوزخ یا سیلاب، اسے آنے دے، خوشی سے جیو، جو بھی راستے میں آئے، اس میں خوشی تلاش کرو۔

لقمان وہ تھے جنہیں خدا نے اپنے احکام سے آزاد کر دیا تھا۔
