वुक़ूफ़-ए-ज़मानी
सालिक (साधक) अपने समय को व्यर्थ न करे, हर पल ख़ुदा की याद और ज़िक्र में गुज़ारे। इस का अस्ल मक़सद यह है कि इंसान अपने वक़्त को दुनिया के फ़ुज़ूल कामों में बर्बाद न करे, बल्कि हर घड़ी को क़ीमती समझे।
वुक़ूफ़-ए-क़ल्बी
मतलब ज़िक्र-ए-इलाही के वक़्त केवल ज़ुबान ही न हिले, बल्कि दिल भी ख़ुदा की ओर केंद्रित रहे। इस की मश्क़ यह है कि सालिक अपने दिल पर नज़र रखे और महसूस करे कि उसके दिल में ख़ुदा का ज़िक्र जारी है।
वुक़ूफ़-ए-अददी
ज़िक्र के समय जितनी संख्या तय की गई है, सालिक उस पर पूरा ध्यान दे कि न कम हो और न ज़्यादा। इसका मक़सद यह है कि इस से सालिक के अंदर अनुशासन, तरतीब और एकाग्रता पैदा होती है।
