रूहानी राह के मुसाफ़िर को चाहिए कि वो ख़ुदा के फ़ैसले के आगे अपनी मर्ज़ी छोड़ दे और आख़िरत में इनाम पाने की नीयत से दुआ करना छोड़ दे यानी सिर्फ़ ख़ुदा की रज़ा के लिए इबादत करे।

शरीअत के मुताबिक़ इबादत ख़िदमत व बंदगी है, तरीक़त के मुताबिक़ इबादत ख़ुदा से क़ुर्बत है और हक़ीक़त के मुताबिक़ ख़ुदा का विसाल है।

तन्हाई नज़र को बुरी ख़्वाहिश से देखने से और हाथों को हराम चीज़ के लेने-देन से बचाती है। जब बाहर की हवास बंद होती हैं, तो अंदर की हवास खुल जाती हैं, जो ग़ैब की दुनिया के दरवाज़ा है।

ख़ुदा की राह के साधक को चाहिए कि ख़ुदा के फ़ैसले पर एतराज़ न करे और इसलिए भी दुआ न करे कि आख़िरत में उस का फल मिलना है।

इंसान एक छोटी कायनात है, जिस के अंदर वो सब कुछ मौजूद है जो इस बड़ी कायनात में मौजूद है।

ला इलाहा इल्ललाह (ख़ुदा के सिवा कोई माबूद नहीं) का ज़िक्र ईमान की सत्तर से ज़्यादा शाख़ों में सब से आला है, क्योंकि हज़रत मोहम्मद रसूल अल्लाह ने फ़रमाया कि गवाहियों में सब से बुलंद दर्जा यह गवाही देना है कि ख़ुदा के सिवा कोई माबूद नहीं।

नफ़्सानी ख़्वाहिशात, शैतान और फ़रिश्ते तुम्हारे वुजूद से बाहर की चीज़ें नहीं हैं, बल्कि ये सब तुम्हारे अंदर ही हैं। इसी तरह आसमाँ, ज़मीन, अर्श, जन्नत, जहन्नुम, ज़िंदगी और मौत भी तुम्हारे बाहर नहीं हैं। ये सब तुम्हारे वुजूद के अंदर मौजूद हैं और जब तुम रूहानी सफ़र तय करके पाक-साफ़ हो जाओगे तो तुम्हें इस बात का एहसास हो जाएगा।

दिल के अंदर महसूस करने की बारीक और रूहानी सलाहियत होती हैं, जो ज़िक्र और दूसरी रूहानी मश्क़ों व इबादतों के ज़रिए धीरे-धीरे पाक व साफ़ होती जाती हैं।

रूहानी तरीक़ी की हालत में सूफ़ी उन आसमान की किताबों को ऐसी ज़बानों और हुरूफ़ में पढ़ सकता है, जिन्हें वो पहले नहीं जानता था और चीज़ों व मख़लूक़ात के आसमानी नाम जान सकता है, यहाँ तक कि अपना अस्ल नाम भी जान लेता है, जो उस के दुनियावी नाम से अलग होता है।

इंसान का नफ़्स ख़ामोशी के ज़रिए ही सुधरता है, क्योंकि ये नफ़्स बेकार और फ़ुज़ूल बातें करने वाला है। ख़ामोशी जहन्नुम से निजात की ज़मानत देती है।

तन्हाई में लगातार ख़ुदा के पाक नामों पर ध्यान लगाने से रूहानी समझ और हक़ीक़त का इल्म हासिल होता है।
