kudurat hai to sulh-o-ashti se kuchh nahin hota

sehat ne tumko KHub ubhaara hai aaj-kal

main zindagi ke sahaare talash karata hun

gham-e-ulfat ko bhi mahbub-e-jaan kahna hi paDta hai

madum hue jate hain ab tab-o-tawan aur

teri surat ki masum-o-hasin malum hoti hai

aaj ik aur baras biit gayā us ke baġhair

jis ke hote hue hote the zamāne mere
