وقوفِ زمانی

سالک اپنے اوقات کو ضائع نہ کرے، ہر لمحہ خدا کی یاد اور ذکر میں گزارے، اس کا اصل مقصد یہ ہے کہ انسان اپنے وقت کو دنیاوی فضولیات میں برباد نہ کرے بلکہ ہر گھڑی کو قیمتی سمجھے۔

وقوفِ قلبی

یعنی ذکرِ الٰہی کے وقت صرف زبان نہ ہلے بلکہ دل کو بھی خدا کی طرف متوجہ رکھا جائے، اس کی مشق یہ ہے کہ سالک اپنے دل پر نظر رکھے اور محسوس کرے کہ اس کے دل میں ذکرِ خدا جاری ہے۔

وقوفِ عددی

ذکر کے وقت جتنی تعداد مقرر کی گئی ہے، سالک اس پر پورا دھیان دے کہ کم یا زیادہ نہ ہو، مقصد یہ ہے کہ سالک کے اندر ضبط، ترتیب اور یکسوئی پیدا ہو۔
