इंसान की ज़िंदगी का असली मक़सद महबूब-ए-हक़ीक़ी (ख़ुदा) तक पहुँचना है और अपनी हस्ती को उस में बिल्कुल मिला देना है, ये काम बड़ा कठिन है।

ज़ात-ए-इलाही के हुस्न की एक झलक से एक अंधी इंसानी बीनाई लुत्फ़-अंदोज़ नहीं हो सकती।

ख़ुद को मिटाना बंदे को अज़मत की बुलंदी पर पहुँचा देता है।

अपने मज़हब को समझो और फिर रूहानी रास्ते पर चलो।

जो शख़्स ख़ुद-शनासी हासिल कर लेता है, वो किसी दुनियावी तारीफ़ का ख़्वाहिशमंद नहीं होता। वो इंसान की तमाम तर तौसीफ़ और तालियों से बालातर होता है। फिर उसका जिस्म एक तस्बीह और उसका ज़ेहन मुक़द्दस दाना बन जाता है। उस का दिल एक बरबत बन जाता है, जो इलाही हम-आहंगी का नग़्मा बिखेरता है।

इंसान, रूहानी अज़मत में कितना ही बुलंद क्यों न हो, उस की हुदूद हैं। ख़ुदा ला-मुतनाही है और उस की कोई हद नहीं। एक महदूद ज़ात उस ला-मुतनाही को नहीं समझ सकती। रूहानी दर्जे में बड़े-बड़े लोग भी जलाल-ए-इलाही का एक बाल भी बीका नहीं कर सके।

ख़ुदा ने इंसान को अशरफ़-उल-मख़लूकात सबसे अच्छा प्राणी बनाया है और इसके साथ ही उस पर एक बड़ी ज़िम्मेदारी भी डाली है।

जिन्होंने महबूब को देख लिया है, उन्होंने तमाम मज़ाहिब को छोड़ दिया है।

जिनका वजूद मोहब्बत से भरा है वो एक अबदी प्यास रखते हैं, प्यास का जाम पियो, प्यास से प्यास को भड़काओ, इश्क़ की मय का एक क़तरा हर क़ीमत से बालातर है - इश्क़ का मतलब शहादत है।

जहाँ रब-ए-ज़ुलजलाल बसता, है वहाँ कोई हंगामा नहीं होता। दुनिया एक कायनाती इबादत-गाह और महबूब का चेहरा उस इबादत-गाह की मुक़द्दस मेहराब है।

इंसान जो बातिनी सोने और जवाहरात का मालिक है, दुनिया में सीसे और काँच का कारोबार करता है! उसे उस लाफ़ानी सौदे की तिजारत करनी चाहिए, जो अबद तक एक ज़र्रा बराबर भी कम नहीं होगा।

रोज़मर्रा की रस्मी नमाज़ वह नहीं है, जो इंसान को हक़ीक़त की पहचान करवाती है, बल्कि यह तो उसे ग़ुरूर की तरफ ले जाती है।

शाइरी अपने आप में कोई मक़सद नहीं है, बल्कि मक़सद हासिल करने का ज़रिया है।

तसव्वुफ़ इंसानों से दूर भागने का रास्ता नहीं है, बल्कि यह इंसानी बराबरी, आपसी भाईचारे, शांति और अच्छे व्यवहार का मार्ग है।
