zor dikhlata hai kya-kya zoaf jism-e-zar ka

گور تک شرمندہ یارانِ وطن سے جائیں گے

نہیں معلوم کیا گزری گل و بلبل کو سکتے ہیں

تھک گئے تم حسرتِ ذوقِ شہادت کم نہیں

ہم پہ احساں ہے مزارِ پاک کا

عاشق دل خموش ہے حسنِ قدیم کا

شعلہ زن رہتے ہیں گرم اشکوں کی طغیانی سے ہم

پھر مرے جوشِ جنوں کا چار سو چرچا ہوا

وصل میں کروٹ جو وہ شوخ جواں لینے لگا

اوج پر ہے چشم تر کا جوش طوفاں آج کل

کل مرا تھا آج وہ بت غیر کا ہونے لگا

یادِ سفرِ ملکِ عدم دل سے لگی ہے

aaj ik aur baras biit gayā us ke baġhair

jis ke hote hue hote the zamāne mere
