kabhi mujhko sath le kar kabhi mere sath chal ke

aks-e-jaanan hum shabih-e-surat-e-jaanana hum

jab ruḳh-e-husn se naqāb uThā

na tu mah ban ke falak pe rah na tu phul ban ke chaman mein aa

jalā hai hae kis jān-e-chaman kī sham-e-mahfil se

jis ka har zarra nazar aata hai saudai mujhe

main akela hi nahin bekal tumhaari yaad mein

sun ai murli manohar jaan-e-jaan taswir-e-zebai

yahi ek aarzu rahti hai bekal dil ki duniya mein

main us manzil mein hun ye dil ki haalat hoti jati hai

wo jis ki hama-agahi mein har raaz-e-nihan-e-hasti hai

jab kisi mein tab-e-nazzara nahin pata hai tu

zarre-zarre mein nazar aati hai ranai mujhe

aaj ik aur baras biit gayā us ke baġhair

jis ke hote hue hote the zamāne mere
