kuchh is ada se aaj wo pahlu-nashin rahe

ek lafz-e-mohabbat ka adna ye fasana hai

ye hai mai-kada yanh rind hain yanh sab ka saqi imam hai

wo ada-e-dilbari ho ki nawa-e-ashiqana

jalwa ba-qadr-e-zarf nazar dekhte rahe

dastan-e-gham-e-dil un ko sunai na gai

rind jo mujhko samajhte hain unhen hosh nahin

ishq ki had se nikalte phir ye manzar dekhte

saqi ki har nigah pe bal kha ke pi gaya

jaan kar min-jumla-e-kHasan-e-mai-kHana mujhe

agar jamal-e-haqiqat se rabt mohkam hai

aadmi aadmi se milta hai

ishq la-mahdud jab tak rahnuma hota nahin

aaj ik aur baras biit gayā us ke baġhair

jis ke hote hue hote the zamāne mere
