nigah-e-naz ka banda hun umr-bhar ke liye

kya kahen hijr mein kin dil ne duaen kya kya

jab tasawwur mein wo surat hogi

jazb-e-dil be-asar na hojaye

muqabil mein adu hai aur main hun

dam-e-wada na wo aae na koi gham-gusar aaya

dil se taswir-e-KHyali jaegi

ye hamari mai-kahsi ka muKHtasar afsana tha

muskura kar suni lagi dil ki

use boson se fursat hai na usko shikwa-e-gham hai

jo dil ko mayassar hai wo mehman ke liye hai

aaj ik aur baras biit gayā us ke baġhair

jis ke hote hue hote the zamāne mere
