tumhaare aastan ka jo koi diwana kahlae

hai yahi shart bandagi ke liye

koi hasti yahan meri sharik-e-gham nahin hoti

tumhaare aastan se jis ko nisbat hoti jati hai

dil ke har goshe mein tu ho aashiqi aisi to ho

teri aankhon se pine ki jise bhi aarzu hogi

dil agar teri mahfil bane

mohabbat ka rahega kya bhram jab hum nahin honge

shaida-e-tajalli hai parwana jise kahiye

mujhe shauq-e-did mein pa ke gum wo naqab ulaT ke jo aa gae

ek do qadam bhi jo teri rahon mein aa gae

arz kar deta hun us se haal-e-dil

wo bhi waqt aaya tha jab wo zeb-e-fraaz-e-baam hue

har-nafas unki baat ki jae

aaj ik aur baras biit gayā us ke baġhair

jis ke hote hue hote the zamāne mere
