gile shikwe karenge zulm ke ab us sitam-gar se

wahi hota hai jo mahbub ko manzur hota hai

unhen aashiq kaha karte hain jo be-maut marte hain

jab tak nigah-e-shauq rahi iKHtiyar mein

mohabbat se na dekho tum to dushman ki nazar dekho

KHamosh tere kuche mein jaya nahin jata

dil na Thahrega to mar jaunga main dil ke liye

mashuq ajab chiz hai de jis ko KHuda de

dil ke kho jaane se main kis waste roya karun

munh hai kuchh utra sa bharrai hui aawaz hai

jawani nahin ban sanwarne ke din

parastish se ziyaada naz-bardari gawahon ki

wufur-e-dard mein takid hansne muskurane ki

use sab log zalim be-wafa qatil samajhte hain

yahi tewar yahi andaz hain to saKHt mushkil hai

chal diya wo rashk-e-mah ghar apna suna ho gaya

na rota zar zar itna na karata shor-o-shar itna

jise wo kuchh banana chahta hai

dil ko hai sab pasand hua jab se tu pasand

koi arman dil se kya nikle

kya karishme the tere didar mein

mashware kar kar ke logon mein mujhe ruswa kiya

jahan husn ki garm bazariyan hain

aarzu bhi dil mein tark-e-arzu bhi dil mein hai

aaj ik aur baras biit gayā us ke baġhair

jis ke hote hue hote the zamāne mere
